Can’t recommend enough. Replaced timing chain and tensioner on my tsi which is a pig of an engine to work on, price was very fair and Arek even did the alternator belt as noticed it needed doing when was off (never been changed car @ 60k so definitely
Needed changing) - nice guy and showed pictures before and after - problem solved, engine saved and will definitely be using him for future works.

Took my Mondeo in to have a bonnet catch fixed. Work turned out to be much cheaper than initially quoted (which was considerably cheaper still than Ford dealership were offering work for). For me, this shows the honesty you want from someone entrusted with fixing your car. Good job.

When I go to see Arek I love what I see at API. True professionals with deep knowledge and experience, especially with VAG (VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda). Where else do you see engineers repairing (not just replacing) control modules or taking on projects that would make others tremble. For that matter, where do you see engineers? Not main dealers or most garages, that's for sure; 90% of career 'mechanics' are nothing more than 'fitters', ie. they just fit new parts (by the book) until the problem is solved (or not). API; Arek & his team, they are proper engineers. Most 'mechanics' (fitters) cannot FIX anything properly, as they're not real engineers so their skills are in talking up what they do to the public - to extract money. And, when they're rumbled, or out of their depth, they claim to be 'too busy' to do it, pass on the problem or blame the customer/car/manufacturer. That's why you see many gushing reviews of car businesses from people with little real knowledge of mechanical engineering or the motor trade, or narrow experiences with no basis for comparison. I'm no engineer, but I have been tuning and ECU remapping vehicles for many years, so I've worked with literally hundreds of other businesses and thousands of vehicles, mostly in East Anglia but as far afield as Glasgow and Cornwall. I have used Arek both on customer's cars and my own. I can absolutely, unequivocally recommend Arek for anyone who wants to buy into such genuine expertise and enthusiasm, at very reasonable and fair prices, knowing your car will be in safe hands.
